Project Overview
Renokrew worked along side Nino Rico from Nino Rico Architecture and McIntosh Perry on the Envelope Repairs, Renovations and Site Restoration to the St. Augustine of Canterbury R. C. Parish. The project involved asphalt pavement removals totalling 45,200-square-feet, concrete walkway removals, full height waterproofing of the main foundation walls, concrete terrace repairs, elastomeric waterproofing, EIFS cladding, window and skylight replacements throughout the adjoining Rectory, steel window restoration, 2-ply mob bit. roofing replacement, and new wall and ceiling finishes to the entire Parish Hall. Additionally, Renokrew handled the replacement of underground utilities and infrastructure, removals of the existing parking lot base and sub base materials, replacement of such, new heavy-duty asphalt pavement, light duty asphalt pavement, concrete sidewalks, curbs, paving stone walkways, and soft landscaping.
The project's taking place in an occupied building meant the project team collaborated closely with the Archdiocese as well as neighbouring TCDSB to minimize the impact of construction on parishioners as well as the general public. The major concern was the tight schedule and changing weather conditions, as this project was commenced in mid fall and substantial completion scheduled for December. The project was delivered on a tight and stringent schedule that met the owner's business model. Owing to the project team’s organized and rigorous action planning, the project was successfully and proudly delivered within the timeframe.
